The Housing Authority of the City of Meriden, which operates Johnson Farms a Moderate Income Housing Program, which is governed by Connecticut Housing Finance Authority is pleased to announce the opening of the waitlist.

Monday, January 9, 2017 at 9:00 am through Friday, January 20, 2017 at 4:30 pm. Pre-application must be submitted ON-LINE ONLY at  www.waitlistcheck.com/ct2833 or via the link provided at        www.meriden-ha.com and www.211ct.org Only one pre-application per person will be accepted.

Internet access is required to complete the pre-application. If you need internet access ,this will be available at our local agencies and our offices. Families needing a reasonable accommodation to complete the pre-application must be requested in writing to our office.

No mailed, faxed, dropped off or incomplete applications will be accepted. All applications received are entered into a lottery selection process and 150 applicants are randomly selected for placement on the waiting list.

Lottery selection will occur on February 1, 2017 Johnson Farms is located in South Meriden and it features the following: 2 bedrooms only townhouses,  two bedrooms (2) minimum 2 persons, maximum four (4) persons.

All and any income-eligible  households may submit a pre-application. Acceptance and/or assistance are based on income verification and other eligibility requirements, such as but not limited to, appropriate occupancy standards, demonstrated ability to pay rent on time, landlord references, credit checks, police background checks.
Rent is based on income with a minimum rent of $511 or 30% of adjusted income, whichever is higher. Maximum of adjusted income levels, based on family size are as follow:

In order to be eligible,the household’s head, co-head, spouse, or sole member MUST BE AT LEAST 62 YEARS OF  AGE,  the household must require a one-bedroom or two-bedroom unit, and household income must not exceed income limits applicable to this building.
Applicants must be determined “eligible” and “qualified” within the rules and regulations of the U.S.  Department of Housing and Urban Development.

Windsor locks Section 8 lottery, Oct. 21st-28th

The Windsor Locks Housing Authority will be re-opening the waiting list for the Section 8 Housing Choice Voucher Program. Applications will be available on 10/21/2016–10/28/2016.

The WLHA will be distributing and accepting applications on October 21, 2016 until October 28, 2016. Completed applications maybe returned either to the Housing Authority by mail,or emailing wlhasec8applications@gmail.com or submitted in person. Income cannot be more than:

The Windsor Locks Housing Authority acknowledges that its prior method of noticing intake for the Housing Choice Voucher waitlist was flawed. In order not to disadvantage applicants, we accepted all applications on September 1. We will not apply a first come-first serve selection policy to the applications.


The applications from September 1 will be combined with the applications received by October 28, 2016. Applications will be placed on the waiting list by a lottery system. If you already applied on September 1 you will not need to apply again. If you or anyone in your family is a person with disabilities, and you require an accommodation in order to fully utilize our programs and services, please contact the housing authority.

SECTION 8 PROJECT BASED VOUCHER PROGRAM

The Housing Authority of the Town of West Hartford (WHHA) will be accepting applications for the 66 Project Based (PB) units located in the A.E. Plant building at 759 Farmington Avenue, West Hartford. The PB Program is a federally-funded program which subsidizes decent, safe, and sanitary housing for low income persons in a specific housing development.

In order to apply, the head, co-head, spouse or sole member must be at least 55 years of age or older, must require either an efficiency (0BR) or one (1BR) unit and meet the income and eligibility guidelines set by the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development.

1 PERSON - $30,650 2 PERSON – 35,000

Interested applicants may apply online at https://www.waitlistcheck.com/CT1974 starting November 2, 2016 at 8:30 a.m. This pre-application is accessible through any computer, tablet or smart phone and available in several languages. Someone will return your call and input the application information for you. No mailed, faxed or emailed applications will be accepted. The waiting list will remain open until 250 applications
have been received.

Project Based Voucher Program is a rental assistance for eligible families who live in specific housing developments or units.

The Housing Authority of the City of Meriden will be opening the Project Based Voucher wait list From Monday August 15th, 2016 at 9:00am until Friday, August 26th, 2016 at 5:00pm.

Pre-applications must be submitted ONLY online at www.waitlistcheck.com/ct2833 or via the link provided at www.meriden-ha.com and www.211ct.org

Only one application per person will be accepted. Internet access is required to complete the pre-application. If you need internet access, this will be available at our local agencies and our offices.

East Haven Housing Authority Opens HCV Waitlist - June 6- 8, 2016

The East Haven Housing Authority through Imagineers will accept 500 pre-applications to be considered for its Housing Choice Voucher (HCV) program waiting list through a computer generate lottery.  The HCV program offers rent subsidies to households who meet the Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) eligibility guidelines. 

The pre-application form will be available online beginning June 6, 2016 at 9:00 am until June 8, 2016 at 11:59 pm ET.  You may access the online pre-application form at the following website:  https://www.waitlistcheck.com/CT2561.   

You may access the online pre-application form using any personal computer, laptop, smart phone, or tablet.  There are many public libraries that offer free computer access if you don’t have personal access to a computer.  The Hagaman Memorial Library located at 227 Main Street, East Haven, CT 06512, 203-468-3890 offers computer access Mon 10am-5pm; Tue-Thurs 10am-8pm and Sat 10am-5pm; non-library card holders can request a limited guest pass to access their computers.  

It is the policy of the East Haven Housing Authority to provide reasonable accommodations for those qualified individuals.  To request a reasonable accommodation, please call1-800-560-7268 or 860-522-1028 between the hours of 8:00 am and 5:00 pm.

You will need the following information to fill out the online form: names, social security numbers, birthdates and income information for everyone in the household.
