Several greater New Haven organizations provide services to people experiencing homelessness. The system includes services from prevention to homeless outreach to emergency shelter. The focus of this system of care is to help people navigate services to achieve stable housing.

Housing Authority of West Hartford - ONLINE PRE-APPLICATIONS - 4/19/16 to 4/21/16 PLEASE READ



The Housing Authority of the City of West Hartford (WHHA) will be accepting Preliminary Applications for the Housing Choice Voucher (HCV) Program (formerly known as the Section 8 Program). The HCV Program is a federally-funded program which subsidizes decent, safe, and sanitary housing for low income persons. Applicants must meet all U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development income and eligibility guidelines.

  1. The Richmond Housing Authority oversees both public housing and voucher programs, if available. The housing authority owns and manages 7 facilities which total 292 units across the city.
