Several greater New Haven organizations provide services to people experiencing homelessness. The system includes services from prevention to homeless outreach to emergency shelter. The focus of this system of care is to help people navigate services to achieve stable housing.

Free Tenant Empowerment Workshop!!!

 

Liberty Community Services, Inc. offers a free Tenant Empowerment Workshop for people who would like to understand how to establish good tenant/landlord relationships, understand their leases, get a handle on their finances and resources to help.  This workshop covers the journey from housing search to housing stability.

Tenant Empowerment is a vital tool for people in supportive housing, eviction prevention, security deposit, and other housing programs.  




Discussed in the workshop: 
  • Different types of Housing opportunities and what makes them different
  • Searching for and Securing housing 
  • Tenant and Landlord expectations
  • Fair Housing Rights 
  • Home budgeting 
  • And More!
